Build Blog Day 43 (3/6/20)


Programming

Auto

We worked on tuning the auto modes (8 and 10 ball) that we were working on during Wednesday’s build. We also added another 10 ball auto mode to the other side that works alright, but could be better.


Superstructure

We made some changes to the superstructure code. First of all, we fixed some bugs so that now we wouldn’t be able to accidentally score into the wrong goal. We also integrated the serializer into the superstructure code, so it simplifies our autonomous actions. We also


Limelight

We tested assigning Limelight by robot MAC address on comp (it worked) and plan on calibrating Limelight #2 (comp turret) next build.


Assembly

Bumpers

On Friday, we finished attaching blue pool noodles to the bumper frame, and heat pressed the vinyl onto the blue fabric. We also finished most of the second bumper frame. We still need to attach two of the steel thumb screw reinforcement plates to the second bumper frame. We plan on finishing both comp bumpers by the end of Saturday build.

Climber Plates

We made all of the parts and they have been prepped to anodize which will be run over on Monday


Shooter/Turret Spares

We started making a list of what spares we have and what we need to make/purchase. We will finish gathering everything tomorrow.


Shooter Bonding

We bonded the first set of rollers. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough fixtures for all 4 sets of rollers, so we started a print of those and they will be done tomorrow.


Electronics Inventory

All electronics that are needed for competition were kitted and packed in the pit. In addition, we ordered any electronics that we were lacking for competition.
